I had visited Carnarvon Gorge 2 years ago after the original nationwide lockdown due to Covid19. At that stage I came in from the North from Rolleston. It was just as magic and awe inspiring the second time.
It was a good couple of hours from Injune so by the time we got to the start of the walking trail it was around 11am. It was a perfect day for walking as it still wasn’t real warm and the tree canopy along the trail made it fairly shaded. There were a lot more walkers this time m, a number of them coming out as we were going in.
We walked as far as the Aboriginal Art Gallery and then did the side walks on the return trip. It was getting close to dark before we got back to the car park so we drove to just outside the National Park boundary and parked the night on the side of the road.
Carnarvon Gorge is definitely worth putting on the bucket list. I’ll let the pictures tell the story.

Looks amazing. I need to check out exactly where this is.
