We had a few days in Echuca on the Murray River. The town itself is much bigger than I thought it would be and the Port area was just lovely. We did a cruise on the PS Canberra which took us up and back along the river with a running commentary from the French Captain. The tour was good value. We sat out the front on the lower deck as a group of schoolchildren occupied the top deck. Noisy but well mannered.
It was pretty wet underfoot for the few days we were there but we managed to see what we wanted to around town. Some nice eating places. We even managed to catch a movie while we were there. Downton Abbey. We both enjoyed the TV series snd this movie was just as good.
