After not being able to get through the entire Long Paddock route to Wilcannia we headed from Deniliquin through to Balranold for an overnight stop. Enjoyed a free stop behind the Visitors Centre just off the main street. We had an afternoon walk across the swing bridge over the Murrumbidgee River and the following morning we had breakfast by the river.
After leaving Balranold we followed the Sturt Highway west through Euston and Robinvale through to Wentworth. From here we followed the Silver City Highway up to Broken Hill. We camped the next night by the side of the road about 60km south of Broken Hill.
The whole area that we travelled through has had copious amounts of rain so everywhere was lovely and green, even up the highway to Broken Hill.
