The scene of Ned Kelly’s hanging, among others, the Goal was in use between the mid 1800’s and 1929 when it was closed. In all 133 people were executed here by hanging. Not all hangings went to plan. It’s all self guided tours. Less people during week I thought but then I didn’t factor in school excursions.
Well worth visiting with so much history and of course the Ned Kelly connection has plenty of write up. Good value at $30.
