Bucket List #76 Visit Wilsons Promontory National Park Vic

Wilsons Promontory is situated about 3 hours drive from Melbourne on the edge of the Bass Strait. It is an extremely popular go to place for Victorians and interstate and overseas tourists.

Due to other commitments I only had two days there staying at the Tidal River Campground. I did a few of the walks and lookouts. The highlight would have to be the Mt Oberon Summit Walk. The view is just stunning. I look forward to going back here at some stage to do some more of the walks.

On my walk to Darby Beach I encountered 2 snakes. The first one was a small green snake which I almost stepped on. I had to do a midair double shuffle to avoid it. The second one was a bit bigger and black . I saw it on the track in plenty of time to take a photo and let it continue on it’s way.
