Bucket List #45 Visit Taronga Western Plains Zoo Dubbo NSW

This one was high on my agenda and it didn’t disappoint. It was a fantastic day and a must see for anyone. You can drive around in you car, walk, ride a bike or hire a cart. Parking would have been an issue taking my bus in so I hired a cart. After I had been all the way round in the electric cart (3 hour hire) I walked half a lap again before enjoying a late lunch in the cafe.

With Covid restrictions there were no zoo keeper talks but you could download them from an App. Entry fee was $43 online and cart hire $70. Carts seat up to 6 people.

Favourite animal? For me it would have to be the meerkats and the various monkeys. Both are so animated and fun to watch.
