Visit Carnarvon Space & Technology Museum (WA) (BL#45)
I had heard a lot about this place and how good it was so it made the list. I had often seen adverts looking for volunteer guides here. Something that may interest me on my next “circuit”.
Situated just south of the “T” intersection on the North West Coastal Highway at Carnarvon a visit here did not disappoint. The entry fee is a modest $10.00 ($8.00 for seniors). The Museum is packed with information and displays. It celebrates the role Carnarvon (and Australia) played in the manned space program and in the Australian communications industry. It has several different sections and caters for kids and adults alike. Entry price includes several videos on all things space as well as a “flight” aboard Apollo 11’s trip to the moon. The Planetarium was not working the morning I was there but they were “working on it”.
An easy way to fill in 3 hours and a must if you are visiting Carnarvon or if you have the time when passing north or south.

Thanks Ray. Keep em coming
